The hinges are manufactured using ABS moulded plastic to create a strong and sturdy fitting between seat and pan.

Keeping your toilet seat clean

Using chemicals to clean your toilet seat will not preserve the life of the seat and may discolour or even scratch your toilet seat. To ensure a long life we recommend cleaning your toilet seat with mild hand soap and warm water, it maybe a bit of faff compared with the bleaches, aerosols and cleaning wipes flooding the market, but it will clean your seat and keep it looking like new for a very time.

Answer: Seats come in a variety of sizes, so we suggest you measure and make note of the length and width of your toilet pan, then measure the distance between the hinge holes and compare with the technical information above.

Question: What do I need to fit this toilet seat?
Answer: Disposable or Protective Gloves, Flathead Screwdriver, Tape Measure, Pliers and of course the Toilet Seat!

Question: How do I fit the toilet seat?
Answer: After removing the old toilet seat and cleaning around the toilet pan, installation should be straightforward.

1. Place the plastic plug into the hinge hole and insert the clear soft plastic piece into the underside of the grey hinge
2. Place grey hinge over the hinge hole and drop screw into hinge and tighten, only enough to move slightly, repeat on other side
3. Rotate hinge pins so that they are level and in the same position
4. Rest toilet seat onto the toilet pan and line up the pins (from Step 5) to match the hole positions on the toilet seat.
5. Ensure that the seat is straight widthways and lengthways. Once you are happy with position of hinge pins, takeaway seat.
6. Keeping the hinge pins still, tighten until they no longer wiggle and feel secure.
7. Double check that the hinge pins align to the toilet seats hinge holes by holding vertically above seat, if happy, place white caps onto hinges.
8. To fit the seat, hold vertically above hinge pins and lower, once pins inside holes, press down firmly until you hear a click.
9. (To remove seat, lift lid and seat in vertical position, pull directly upwards)
10. Close seat and lid, check fittings and adjust if necessary.
11.  Give yourself pat on the back, congratulations on fitting your toilet seat!
